Professor Jozef Minár visited us
Between September 10-11, professor Jozef Minár from the Comenius University of Bratislava, was in Timișoara for a collaboration within our project Professor Minár does scientific research in the fields of geomorphometry, theoretical geomorphometry, geomorphological and geological mapping, morphotectonics and the Western Carpathians.

National Symposium of Geographic Students (2019)
Larisa Paulescu presented her work at the National Symposium of Geographic Students which took place in Bucharest, on March 30-31, 2019. She presented the paper entitled ‘Geomorphometric analysis for the automatic mapping of landslides’ and won the Intergraph award. Congratulations!
Young Scholars Award 2019
On May 13, ESRI Romania organized the competition Young Scholars, which was won by Paulescu Larisa. She participated with the project ‘ Identifying scarps of landslides Using the ArcPy API and Object-Oriented Analysis‘. Two oral presentation were delivered at Geomorphometry 2018 (Boulder, Colorado, August 13-17) namely ”Sensitivity of land-surface variables to scale in identifying landslide scarps” and „Towards a global geomorphometric atlas using Google Earth Engine“.
